There is no dedicated bus parking lot at the trailhead — groups typically stage on Norris Canyon Road near the trailhead entrance and coordinate a pickup time. The preserve's trails range from easy valley walks to strenuous ridge climbs with sweeping views of the San Ramon Valley and Mount Diablo.
Wente Vineyards
Wente Vineyards is one of the oldest continuously operated family wineries in the United States, established in 1883 in the Livermore Valley AVA approximately 15 miles east of San Ramon via I-580. The estate includes a tasting room, a restaurant, and an outdoor concert amphitheater — Wente Vineyards Events Center — that hosts nationally touring artists from May through October. Groups visiting for tastings, winery tours, or concerts use bus transportation to keep the group together and eliminate the designated-driver problem.

Levi's Stadium
Levi's Stadium is the home of the San Francisco 49ers and one of the premier event venues in the country, hosting NFL games, college football bowl games, international soccer, and major concerts. From San Ramon, the stadium is approximately 25 miles south via I-680 S and US-101 N — about 35 to 50 minutes off-peak, significantly longer on game days when US-101 and the Great America Parkway interchange back up.
